Nocturnal Sun marks the launch of Marin Waldorf School’s annual Community Fund campaign. Together, we’ll celebrate the vitality, generosity, and future of our community alongside dear friends and new leadership. The Community Fund sustains the people, programs, and learning environment that make a Marin Waldorf School (MWS) education possible.
Every gift supports our mission to help children realize their highest potential through an education that ignites the imagination, engages the intellect, and strengthens the will.
Marin Waldorf graduates leave with more than knowledge. They leave with curiosity, compassion, resilience, creativity, and the confidence to meet the world with purpose.
We are not simply funding a school. We're investing in the kind of human beings the world needs more of.

A Marin Waldorf education is built on mission, not margin. Every budget decision begins with a simple question: what best serves our students? Not, what is least expensive? Tuition covers 75% of the school’s annual operating budget. The rest is made possible by the generosity of families, alumni, board members, and friends who believe in our mission. This support makes possible an education where childhood is protected, and imagination, creativity, and meaningful connection remain at the heart of learning.
Your generosity not only sustains this distinctive educational experience but also the vibrant and diverse community that makes it possible. Through tuition assistance and scholarships, Marin Waldorf welcomes families across the economic spectrum, enriching every child’s educational experience.
During the 2026-27 academic year, Marin Waldorf School will invest over $800,000 in tuition support, providing financial aid to 26% of enrolled students and funding diversity scholarships.
For more than 50 years, Marin Waldorf School has believed that the future is shaped by how we educate children. Nocturnal Sun is an invitation to invest in that belief, and the enduring value of a Marin Waldorf School education. Together, we aim to raise $185,000 for the Community Fund, strengthening the people, programs, and opportunities that will serve today’s children and generations to come.
